This Privacy Policy explains how Your File Tools ("we", "us") at https://www.yourfiletools.com handles information when you use our tools. In short: your files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to us.
Your files stay on your device
All of our image, PDF and text tools run locally in your browser using the Canvas, WebAssembly and Web Crypto APIs. The files you select or drop are processed on your own device. We operate no server that receives, stores or sees your files — they never leave your computer.
Information stored on your device
We do not require an account and do not collect personal information. To remember your preferences, we store two small values in your browser's local storage: your theme choice (light/dark) and your selected language. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
On-device components
Some tools download a processing component to your browser the first time you use them — for example, the AI background-removal model and the OCR (image-to-text) engine. These are fetched from third-party content-delivery networks and then run on your device; your images and text are not sent to them.
Advertising & cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertising, which helps keep these tools free. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
